A neat new shop

This is a neat little shop that I've finally been able to get into. I've gone at the wrong times, and also they were closed for remodeling. It is a cute little place for those who are looking for different ways to find their own spirituality. I talked to the shop keeper for a couple of hours. It's the first time I've gone into a shop like this and felt like I was at home. I might even do a few readings in the future ( for those that don't know or remember I read runes and ogam sticks), I may even do a few crocheted bags, and who knows what else I might be able to do there. I am very excited about this opportunity. I had hoped for awhile that something like this would present itself, and now it has. I will have to be patient and let this work out in the time it is supposed too.

Spring has sprung

I'm hoping that because it rained on the first day of spring, that it will be a wetter spring than our winter was. 144 days without rain is way to long. Even the people were getting snappy and contrary, now that it's rained everyone seems to have calmed down. The only good part of not having rain for so long is that it happened during the fall and winter months and not the spring and summer months. It could have very easily gone up to 120 degrees during the summer without rain. I love living in the desert.

Everyone is doing good, and nothing unusual or exciting has happened since I last posted. Which is not a bad thing, routine is a good thing when there are 5 people living in one house. Soon it will be emptier. Once the boys are at bootcamp, they will be able to send me a postcard with their address, if you want to write to them let me know and I will forward their addresses. They will not be able to write back, they will be kept very busy, they will need all the love that they can get through letters.

It rained today!!

This dry spell lasted for 144 days. So, yes, we are all overjoyed at the fact that it's cold and wet! Greg not so much because he wanted to go and do things with his friends for his birthday, he hasn't driven in the rain and I wasn't going to test that without my being in the van with him (He didn't really want to drive in the rain either). He did have fun with all his friends and Mom driving them around. He was able to find what he wanted to spend his birthday money on.

Back to the rain. Because of the rain the dogs have spent the whole day inside, well almost all day. They had to go outside when everybody left the house. They do dumb things when left inside by themselves. Coming home and letting them in is a rather big project, P-Bear can pretty much stay on the porch so he isn't to bad, Jebo won't stay under any protection and is usually soaked. She has her winter coat and is very difficult to get dry, it takes about three towels to get her dry enough to be inside, and several hours for her to be completely dry. So now we have damp dogs in the house, at least they're warm.

Check out Greg's site

Greg has an animation class at school. What they are learning in class they put into a design of their own web site. Here is Greg's Site , it's still under construction, yet it shows some of what he has already learned in class. Keep checking back to see how his site is growing.

Yay Greg!

Gregory has finally gotten his drivers' license! It took him a year to do, but he finally did it. Now he tries to find reasons to drive.

Every Wednesday he goes to the recruiters office for the DEP program. They run, do exercises, and help them to memorize different things. He comes home a little sore, and with the biggest grin on his face, he really enjoys all that they do.

June 25 is the day for their going away/graduation party. If you can be there for it, let me know and I will send along the address and time for the party.

Nothing Unusual

There hasn't been anything unusual happening around here, which is a good thing. Everyone is busy with school, and work. It looks like Maggie will be off probation (or is it parole? I an never keep it straight) by the end of April. Yay! She has been doing so good. Kyle's Drill Team has been doing good. He's on the junior varsity team, this last week they didn't get a trophy, the varsity team did walk away with the most trophies though. Greg has been exercising every night, running a couple of times a week, his recruiters are giving him a hard time about losing weight, all he's losing is what little flab he had and turning it into muscle.

I had a telephone survey group call the other night, I like giving my opinion especially when someone is asking me for it, the survey was about fast food restaurant's. One question was, what is your favorite fast food place? I answered Fazoli's. There was a pause on the line, I don't think it was on her list of possible answers, I love Fazoli's. Then she went on about other fast food places, which were all burger places. It got me to thinking, we have been to a lot of fast food places, thanks to Maggie, none of them have been burger places though. They have been Chinese, subs, Italian and the like. All of them good, all of them fairly good for you.
