Greg and Kyle came home for the long weekend. I actually got to spend quite a bit of time with them, and I loved every minute of it! We went to see Pirates 3 (it was a good movie), Greg had brought his Wii and we got to play games on it. I got caught up in playing Zelda, what a fun game.
Kyle passed the test to become an E-4, the promotion itself happens sometime this next week or two. He's had to get information together to get his passport in order, as far as he knows he will be going to Korea in December. That, of course, could change before his battalion is actually deployed.
Greg's MOS had been changed, it's still electronics, and it's still communications of some sort, he's not even sure what kind yet. His next set of classes starts this next week. He will graduate from all of these classes in September/October. He won't know until then where his duty station will be.
It is interesting to see how they have matured so much more than their friends. A friend of mine who was able to see them this weekend paid them the best compliment, she told them that she felt secure knowing that they were there to protect us all. I am so very proud of them.
Live fully.....
