Been doing some homework.....

I have been doing some research in the Mobile Home Tenant and Landlord Regulations. (Not sure that is the correct name of the document, it''s close enough though.) Seems there is a regulation that the owners/managers have to keep the community areas in good working order. This includes the pool, jacuzzi, and the park playground equipment. There is even a recourse that can be taken if they don't do this, unfortunately it is to give notice that we will move if they don't fix it. We don't really want to move, at least not in the short period of time that would have for this course of action. We are of the opinion that the owners of the park are trying to find a way to get everyone out so that they can build apartments on the land instead.

I did find out that if they want to close the park for any reason they have to give a 180 day notice of their intentions. I think they are trying to avoid having to do just that for as long as they can.

Glad to learn of your research.

The ownership may be trying to get you to give your notice and then they will accept it. They may or may not make the corrections that might be ordered by the city.

The best way to get folks to move is to not do anything. It is the "easy, cowardly" way out.

I hope it works out well for you.

Love you,

Dad
